Produces small, greenish-yellow flowers followed by red berries, which split open to reveal black seeds

Use a well-draining bonsai soil mix. A mix of akadama, pumice, and lava rock or bonsai-specific potting mix works well

Hardy in USDA zones 5-9. Protect from frost and extreme cold. If kept indoors, maintain a temperature between 60-75 degree F (15-24 degree )

Feed with a balanced liquid fertilizer every 4-6 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer). Reduce feeding in fall and winter
